StoryArts Festival Ipswich - September 2017

One of the highlights of this year’s festival will be the Narelle Oliver Exhibition during the month of September.

The Festival will re-create Narelle's studio within the Ipswich Community Gallery for visitors to experience with artefacts, objects and art materials carefully selected from her studio to be on display. Augmented Reality elements will be used to ensure a fully immersive Arts experience. Large, to-scale images will be used as backdrops to recreate every aspect of Narelle’s studio as it was when creating her last book, I Want to be in a Book due out this year.

Student Workshops were conducted in February to explore the printmaking techniques used by Narelle to create a series of art works. The children’s art is being transformed into a moving image projection and shown each night for two weeks of the exhibition on nearby exterior buildings.

We need your help to make this a reality and honour Narelle Oliver’s lifetime of work and dedication to the Arts. Help support the recreation of Narelle Oliver’s art studio, AR technology inclusion, materials and equipment for the moving image projection and materials and fees for workshop artists. We already have a RADF grant but need more funding, so have set up an Australia Cultural Fund campaign

All donations are tax-deductible.
