QSLA supports awards that recognise and encourage outstanding contributions and promote the profession of teacher librarianship.

The Brian Bahnisch Award for Collaboration and the QSLA Citation for Outstanding Contribution are biennial awards.

The Queensland Teacher Librarian of the Year and QSLA Outstanding School Leader are annual awards.

The 2026 nominations are now OPEN. The closing date for 2026 nominations is Friday 26 June 5pm.

Nominations are an opportunity to be considered for an award. Once a nomination has been submitted, an application package will be sent to the nominee for completion and submission by the closing date.
